Cala Bona offers a relaxing holiday base with plenty of traditional
Spanish charm. A small and quaint traditional Mallorcan fishing village
that has grown to cater for the tourist. In Cala Bona you will find
the essential ingredients for magical holidays - beautiful beaches,
excellent restaurants and beautiful scenery.
Transfer time from airport: 1.5- 2 hours
Cala Bona has a newly reformed harbour and pedestrianised zone as
its focal point. Here you can relax in one of the many restaurants and
cafes that surround this heart of the resort.
Cala Bona is home to several sandy beaches, scattered
with rocky coves. There's over a mile of sandy beach that runs to Cala
Bona's lively neighbour, Cala Millor. Down on the beach you'll find
loads of watersports like sailing and windsurfing. The beaches in Cala
Bona are generally thought to be not a nice as Cala Millor, however,
they are a lot quieter and are still very clean with perfect water for
swimming, snorkelling or fishing.
Entertainment in Cala Bona is mainly based around
excellent bars and restaurants. Choose from the huge range of restaurants
serving cuisine from around the world, as well as the traditional Spanish
fare like paella and thick, meaty stews.
Cala Bona may not be particularly suited for those families seeking
an active holiday, but perhaps more so for those looking for a relaxing
break with the option of the more lively Cala Millor just 5
minutes away by taxi.
Although, some of the other resorts on the island have developed a
very Germanic feel, Cala Bona still remains a favourite of the British
visitor.
