Getting Around Majorca
Buses
The buses both locally and across the island are regular, reasonably reliable and cheap. Most major resorts have tourist information centres which will be happy to provide you with bus timetables and prices.
Taxis & Transfers
Most taxis are licensed to carry up to four people but larger ones can take six. Prices are cheap compared with other European countries. You can order a cab from your hotel, go to a taxi rank or simply hail one in the street.

Car Hire
There are plenty of rental car offices throughout the resorts. You can expect to pay per day, the rate drops if you rent a car for a week or more. Main roads are well surfaced and Majorca has few stretches of highway making it quick and easy to travel from Palma to the east coast. Islanders drive on the right and front and rear seatbelts are compulsory.
