Port de Pollenca which is also referred to as Puerto Pollensa is a family holiday resort located in the north of the Balearic island of Mallorca (Majorca).
One of the most widely recognised areas of the resort is the Pine Walk, this area is found in the west of the resort and runs along following the beach which is shaded by a stretch of wonderful pine trees. The pine walk has many wonderful privately owned villas and apartments and is well known for its relaxing and peaceful setting. One of Puerto Pollensa's most famous hotels is on the Pine Walk - the Illa Dor hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the main centre and is a very popular luxury hotel set between the pine trees in the pine walk. Whilst the hotels room prices maybe out of my budget - the outdoor bar isn't and offers a wonderful place to sitback and take in Pollensa bay.
The resort is very much family orientated - there is only one nightclub called - Chivas, but there are a large number of nice bars to have a quiet drink at, however most places will close after midnight, so if you are looking for a hedonistic holiday - Port de Pollenca probably isn't the right resort for you.
The town is a very popular tourist spot with many hotels, bars and miles of sandy white beaches. The main city of Palma is a one hour drive from Port de Pollenca and there are frequent daily buses too and from the resort.
The town is the most northerly resort on the island with Alcudia and Cala San Vicente being the 2 nearest neighbouring towns. The resort is fairly small and can be walked from one end to the other in around 30 minutes - 1 hour depending on how fast you can walk.
The town also features a luxurious marina sporting many yachts and expensive boats. This is also where the tourist boats to Formentor leave from which is well worth a visit as too.
The main square in the town is surrounded by many pleasant bars and restaurants and has a very lively atmosphere in the evening, there is also a church in the square if you wish to visit it. On a Wednesday the square plays host to a weekly market which fills the whole square and the surrounding streets. The market sells a wide selection of fruit, vegetables, meats fish, cheeses and craftworks. There are many bargains to be had so certainly visit it if you are there.

Puerto Pollensa holidays offer up walking, windsurfing, waterskiing, boat trips, shopping, nightlife, but above all, relaxation. And thanks to good roads and transport links, Puerto Pollensa is a great base from which to get out and explore northern Majorca.
Holidays in Puerto Pollensa are all about discovering the traditional side of Majorca. Located on the northernmost part of the island, Puerto Pollensa is one of the prettiest resorts on the entire north coast. A dramatic mountain range surrounds and shelters its wide, curving sandy bay, so the waters are calm and inviting.
Although the resort has a good selection of bars, some with live music and discos, it has resisted the temptation to try and compete with nearby Alcudia. The palm-lined seafront promenade boasts some of the best fish restaurants on the island so many evenings are spent lingering over a meal or taking a stroll around the harbour. Sounds good…
As for where to stay, families flock to the Valentin Puerto Azul Suite Hotel, with its play centre, playground and accommodation in spacious, smartly furnished suites, whilst couples often prefer some of our smaller, more intimate hotels or private villas.
This beach is located in the Bay of Pollensa and it is protected from bad weather by rocky formations to the north. A beautiful sandy beach and scenery, with great tourist accommodations makes this a perfect holiday getaway. British vacationers frequent this beach.
